membership application. Dues are
currently only $20 per year, and
there are local and national
tournaments. The 2009 Tournament
venue will be at Champions Gate,

Disaster Relief Rotary Action
Group (DRRAG.) The program is
only a year old, but there are
now 15 of these Rotary entities
in various District, and the
organization has its own
website: www.drrag.org. The
program is expanding, and
looking for help. It has
supported Districts that have
been devastated by natural
calamities and supported other
Rotary initiatives such as the
Box programs. Each club has been
requested to specify a member as
a DRRAG representative. Anyone
interested in taking on this
function can contact Cal Oren.

POLIO PLUS UPDATE: Rotary
International announced that its
partnership for polio
eradication with the Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation has
increased its contribution to
US$555 million. The announcement
was made at the International
Assembly in San Diego,
California, USA, on 21 January.
The Rotary Foundation received a
$255 million Gates Foundation
grant in January, for which
Rotary will raise $100 million
in matching funds. In November
2007, RI received a $100 million
Gates Foundation grant, which
Rotary committed to match by
raising $100 million. The two
challenge grants now total $355
million. Rotary has committed to
raising a combined total of $200
million in matching funds by 30
June 2012. This matching effort
is called "Rotary's US$200
Million Challenge."

is going to be a benefit dance
for him at the school. Dominic
Foxworth, who graduated from
Western, went on the University
of Maryland, was drafted and
played for the NFL Denver
Broncos and now plays for the
Atlanta Falcons, stopped by the
school recently and donated
$1,000 to the benefit. WSEST
Principal, Rick Jester has
spoken to the RCCS morning

the former WSEST Principal, Ken
Burch. Contributions to the
